Synopsis

Sang-Woo (Ji-Tae Yoo) is a sound recorder who meets a producer for a radio station in Gangneung, Eun-Soo (Young-Ae Lee). The two leave on a trip together to gather sounds for a program, such as the wind whistling through the bamboo and the sounds from a Buddhist temple. The two fall in love while on their travels, but Eun-Soo, a divorcee, feels burdened by Sang-Woo’s love. Because of this she refuses him, and they go their separate ways. After time passes and Sang-Woo has recovered from the past wound, Eun-Soo shows up out of the blue. Though they try to rekindle their love, they understand that even beautiful love has its season- like a fine spring day.
View Point

Lush sounds from nature are blended seamlessly into this film- the wind, rustling reeds, a bubbling brook, and a mountain temple. The innocent beauty of Young-Ae Lee and the natural acting skills of Ji-Tae Yoo helped make the film the masterpiece that it is.
